Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a level 1 academic medical center. This role involves surgical scrub duties across multiple specialties including orthopedic, neurological, vascular, trauma, and general cases. The position requires ability to work day shifts with a 10-hour schedule, with potential holiday or weekend work based on a six-week schedule. Orientation is approximately one week, and candidates should have Epic electronic health record knowledge.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license or state ID, completion of UHS skills checklist, UHS submission packet, UHS prior employment form; no minimum experience required, but related OR experience is preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Scrubbing experience in orthopedic, neuro, vascular, trauma, or general surgery; working knowledge of Epic electronic health record system is preferred
• Additional Information: May be asked to work holidays or weekends according to the scheduled six-week rotation. Orientation duration is approximately one week. Responsibilities include surgical scrubbing, assisting in a variety of surgical procedures, and compliance with hospital standards and SOPs regarding operating room procedures.
