Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse in a Level II Trauma Center located in Reno, Nevada. This position involves providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a busy, fast-paced environment, supporting a wide variety of surgical procedures including trauma, neuro, vascular, spine, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and robotics. The RN will deliver individualized patient outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Weekend shift, 3 x 12-hour days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Nevada State Registered Nurse license prior to start; current BLS and ACLS certifications; CMP completed within 1 year of start date; minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in Trauma Operating Room setting; prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment; experience with adult and pediatric trauma cases in a Level 2 Trauma Center.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neurosurgery including spinal fusions and crani-procedures; Da Vinci robotic surgery experience; pediatrics experience within the OR.
• Additional Information: This position requires call responsibilities and involves working in a setting with a patient population from neonates to geriatrics, performing complex procedures such as trauma surgeries, neurosurgeries, robotics, and minimally invasive interventions. The RN will be accountable for maintaining the highest standards of patient care in a hospital with a high volume of trauma and emergency cases.
