Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) professional is needed at a healthcare facility in an unspecified location. This role involves working in the surgical environment with a focus on orthopedic surgeries, including total joint procedures and orthopedic spine cases. The position is scheduled for day shifts, with potential weekend and holiday requirements, and requires scrub experience in orthopedic surgery. The assignment duration is from October 5, 2026, to February 1, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30, with the possibility of every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) must be from the American Heart Association (AHA). Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic surgery, with the ability to start IVs.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedics, including total joint and orthopedic spine cases, is preferred.
• Additional Information: Cases per day range from 40 to 60. The electronic medical record system utilized is Epic. Scrubs are provided in maroon. Floor orientation lasts one week. Must be able to scrub orthopedic surgeries, including total joint (hips, knees, shoulders) and orthopedic spine cases. The hospital has a cancellation policy allowing cancellation of 2 shifts per 12 weeks or less and 3 shifts per 13 weeks or more without penalty.
• Shift Expectations: 07:00 to 17:30, 10 hours per day.
• Weekend Expectations: Every other weekend.
• On-call Expectations: 2-3 twelve-hour weekend call shifts within a six-week period.
• Holiday Expectations: Participation in 1 major and 1 minor holiday.
