Operating Room Nurse in Vail, Colorado. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to manage patient flow, deliver patient education, and assist with procedures, all while adhering to hospital and state regulations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Colorado nursing license or license from a valid compact state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience: 1 year of operating room (OR) nursing experience required; no additional experience minimum stated.
- Demonstrates competent healthcare assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to triage incoming patient requests and coordinate care effectively.
- Able to handle high telephone volume for medication requests, information, and assistance.
- Performs medication administration, treatments, and procedural assistance while following patient safety guidelines.
- Works independently with minimal supervision and collaborates with various providers and organizations to optimize patient care.
- Excellent service delivery using Relationship-Based Care principles, advocating for patient safety and preferences.
- Must be HIPAA compliant.
- Additional Information: This position assumes responsibility for delivering quality nursing care in accordance with state statutes, hospital policies, and professional standards.
