Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Specialist in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This role involves supporting surgical procedures in a high-volume facility with a focus on general, gynecological, orthopedic, urology, ECTs, pain blocks, and ENT cases. The position requires assisting with cases, maintaining sterile techniques, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

Job Details:

• Certifications: BLS Certification; Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Location Requirements: Candidates must be licensed and authorized to work in the state of Iowa.
• Schedule: Four days per week, consisting of 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30, with the possibility of arriving at 06:30 based on case needs.
• Required Qualifications: Experience with surgical cases listed above; ability to assist with cases; scrubbing experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting OR teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting during surgeries, supporting patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and adhering to facility dress code policies. The OR team includes surgical aids responsible for cleaning rooms and transferring patients. Cerner electronic charting system is used for documentation.
• Shift Notes: The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30, with potential early start at 06:30 based on case schedules.
