Job Summary: Operating Room (OR) nurse position available in a facility located in Milwaukee, WI. The role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care with a focus on neuro, ENT, and general surgical procedures. Candidates will support a Level III trauma center with a high volume of diverse cases, ensuring patient safety and procedural success.
Job Details:
Schedule: Evenings shift, with variable start times between 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, strong neuro and ENT surgical background, experience with neuro/spine surgeries (laminectomies, fusions, cranial surgeries), and proficiency in intraoperative support. A minimum of 0 years of experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro/ENT surgeries, familiarity with navigation systems such as Medtronic, Stryker, and Synaptive, and prior OR scrubbing experience.
Additional Information: Orientation period of 1 to 1.5 weeks depending on team and shift needs. Support on the unit includes collaboration with charge nurses, leads, supervisors, and the manager. Surgical scrubs and bouffant caps are provided. Free parking and shuttle services are available on campus. No call rooms are provided.
