Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Dixon, Illinois. This position involves working in an acute care setting, performing scrubbing duties for a variety of surgical cases including general, orthopedic, urology, OB/GYN, and dental surgeries. The role requires collaboration with a charge nurse and other department staff during 8-hour daytime shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour days with call; 40 hours one week, 32 hours the next.
- Required Qualifications: ACLS and BLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience; Illinois license or confirmation process initiation; active IL license or application confirmation; active Illinois license required at the time of submission; no experience requirement listed.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1+ years of OR nursing experience preferred; scrubbing required for registered nurses.
- Additional Information: The unit has 5 operating rooms and a cystoscopy room, with an average of 6-7 cases per day. Call response time is 20 minutes, with requirements for 1 weeknight call per week and 1 weekend of call per month. Floating to PACU or GI is optional but not required. Scrubs are provided; orientation with preceptor and department educator is included.
- Location: 403 E 1st Street, Dixon, Illinois 61021.
- Note: No charge nurse or house supervisor assigned per shift, with a charge nurse available Monday through Friday from 07:00 to 15:30.
