Job Summary Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in Illinois. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures across various specialties. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during a diverse range of surgeries.
Job Details
Certifications: Current BLS through the American Heart Association, Illinois RN licensure (or initiation of application process), and active authorization to work in Illinois.
Education and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience.
Location: Illinois.
Schedule: Rotating shifts with 8-hour shifts starting at 0645, 1045, or 1445, totaling 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS certification, and a minimum of 3 years OR nursing experience.
Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level 1 trauma hospital, including cases in general, gynecology, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, orthopedic, spine, ENT, and cardiothoracic surgery. Scrubbing is required.
Staffing Details: Charge Nurse available 24/7 without patient assignment; surgical techs (1-2 per patient) and CNA support (3-4 during days, 1 during evenings) are available.
EMR System: Epic.
Unit Orientation: One week of unit-specific orientation.
Additional Information: No float rotation required. Scrubs are provided; casual professional dress is acceptable for entering and leaving the facility.
Submission Requirements: Last four digits of SSN, active Illinois license status, confirmation of application initiation, understanding of the drug-free campus policy, and clarification of requested time off.
