Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in San Diego, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. The OR nurse will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with the surgical team, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Experience in OB/GYN surgeries such as C-sections and hysterectomies, along with neonatal resuscitation skills, are required.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; experience in OB/GYN and Labor & Delivery procedures, including C-sections and hysterectomy; at least three years of recent RN experience working in an RN role and two years in a specialized area.

  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will perform assessments, develop plans of care, implement interventions, evaluate patient progress, and serve as a patient advocate. Strong communication, collaboration with healthcare team members, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
