Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) nurse position in a healthcare facility located in a hospital's surgical department. This role involves providing perioperative nursing care, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring patient safety throughout operative procedures. It offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on specialized surgical services.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The assignment starts on 10/05/2026 and ends on 02/08/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license (compact license accepted), at least 3 years of OR nursing experience, and familiarity with the following surgeries and skills: Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, Appendectomy, Arthroscopy, Colorectal Robotic Surgery, Gastric bypass, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction, Neurosurgical and Orthopedic robotic surgeries, Thoracic, Urologic robotic surgeries, and General surgical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an acute care hospital setting, proficiency with Meditech electronic charting system, and recent experience with robotic surgery lines.
Additional Information: The role may require float to other nearby facilities supporting various surgical service lines including Orthopedic, Gynecologic, Plastics, Urology, and Bariatric surgeries. Candidates should be prepared to work with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy.
