Job Summary
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for providing specialized perioperative care within a healthcare facility. This role involves preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and monitoring patient recovery to ensure safety and optimal outcomes. The nurse collaborates with the surgical team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Location: Redwood City, California
  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, no minimum experience requirement
  • Preferred Qualifications: Appropriate operating room certifications and experience with perioperative nursing are desirable
  • Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with surgical team members, adhering to facility protocols, and maintaining current licensure and certifications. The nurse will be expected to participate in ongoing education and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
