Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care in a Level 1 trauma center with a focus on transplant, endovascular, trauma, and emergency cases. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient surgical case progression and turnover, and must be willing to float across all service lines as needed.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, starting on 08/10/2026, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification (American Heart Association), experience in neuro, ortho, transplant, and vascular surgeries (score of 3 or above), at least two years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty.
  • Certifications: BLS, RN license
  • Skills: Experience with neuro, ortho, transplant, vascular procedures; ability to float to all service lines including trauma and emergency cases
  • Experience: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to
  • Notable Responsibilities: Involving multidisciplinary team in operating room patient care planning, coordinating operating room activities, facilitating efficiency in case progression and turnover, and managing emergency and complex surgical cases
  • Location: 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792
  • Additional Information: Must pass strict pass/fail telemetry testing (adult and pediatric exams) with two attempts, and submit a certificate of completion if additional attempts are needed. Must be willing to float as needed across service lines, including trauma and emergency cases.
