**Required Experience, Certifications, and Skills:** - Role: RN (Registered Nurse) - Specialty: Ambulatory Surgery - Critical Care Experience, Pre-op & PACU experience - Required Certifications: Missouri Licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Years of Experience: 2+ years - Must Have Skills/Experience: - Involves patient and/or significant others in decisions regarding care. - Assesses and documents educational needs and learning abilities of the patient and/or significant others during admission and subsequent assessments. - Documents plan of care including identified problems, nursing diagnosis, nursing interventions, and goals/outcomes with target dates. - Performs patient hand-offs using patient safety tools (SBAR, Report at Bedside, etc.). - Maintains effective communication through the chain of command. - Communicates subjective and objective data about the patient/family and/or significant others with appropriate team members. - Stays updated on unit communications, such as huddles and emails. - Facilitates communication of pertinent findings with and/or makes rounds with physicians. - Participates in Process Improvement activities such as data collection, in-services, and meetings as needed. **Preferred Experience:** - Not specifically stated; preferred experiences are not listed.
