Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a Compact or CO RN license and prior acute care hospital experience.

Details

• 8-OR operating room unit with a team of approximately 25 staff including RNs, CST, and Anesthesia
• Day shift team includes Charge RN, RNs, and CST with a Night shift on-call team
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses a wide range of surgical equipment including Belmont rapid infusion devices
• Meditech EMR used
• Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call rotation required, mixing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd call across weekdays and weekends over an 8-week period
• 30-minute response time required for on-call shifts

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Transplant and spine surgical experience preferred
• Ability to function across multiple surgical service lines preferred

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties including Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Spine, General, GYN, Endoscopy, Plastics, and Cardiac cases
• Strong emphasis on teamwork with providers and surgical staff
• Supported by experienced service line leaders
• Patient care experience is a priority for this role
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months allowed
