Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 4 years of OR experience — including Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Ortho — for a 16-week day shift contract.
Details
- Hospital OR setting serving a high-acuity, multi-specialty surgical patient population
- Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekend requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
- On-call requirements are variable and will be discussed during the interview
- Floating required within the facility and to Outpatient as needed
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications must be on file and copies provided for consideration
- Minimum 4 years of OR experience required prior to travel
- Experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics is required
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; Charge Nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- No holiday RTO will be approved; blackout dates include 11/23–11/29 and 12/21–1/3
- Travelers must be available to work all major holidays that fall within their assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
- No special scheduling requests, alternate shifts, or schedule changes are permitted — the posted shift is firm
- Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to begin on time
