Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with 4+ years of OR experience across Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN and Ortho service lines for a day shift hospital assignment.
Details
- Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
- Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Variable weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice, including to Outpatient as needed
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 4 years of Operating Room experience required prior to travel
- Required experience in Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedic surgical procedures
- Skills needed include abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, colporrhaphy, tubal ligation, D&C, and laparoscopic gynecological procedures
- Skills needed include ALIF, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, and XLIF
- Skills needed include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedures
- Skills needed include arthroscopy, closed and open reduction of fractures, and total joint replacement
- Experience in transplant surgeries including intestinal, kidney, liver, and pancreas preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties across multiple surgical service lines
- No holiday RTO approved during blackout dates of 11/23-11/29 and 12/21-1/3
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, all RTO must be finalized prior to submission
- No RTO or schedule change requests permitted after offer or onsite, or during orientation week
- Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this unit
- Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers previously cancelled or marked DNR by a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
