Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician for a facility located in Greenfield, Wisconsin. This position involves supporting surgical procedures in an outpatient ambulatory surgery center setting. The role requires coordinating with the surgical team to ensure smooth operation of various outpatient procedures and maintaining sterile environments.

Job Details:

• Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (OR Tech)
• Specialty: ORT
• Location: Greenfield, WI
• Schedule: Shift hours are from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Required Qualifications: No minimum experience required. Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support). Education: Graduation from an accredited surgical technician program. Location Requirements: candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in outpatient surgery centers or with the specified patient types is a plus.
• Patient Types: Supporting procedures for patients of all ages from 12 months and above, including orthopedics, podiatry, general surgery, urology, gynecology, ENT, endoscopy, interventional pain management, and eye surgeries.
• Responsibilities: Preparing the operating room, handling sterile supplies and equipment, assisting with patient transfers, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Support on the Unit: Reporting to the Director or Supervisor, and working with the OR nursing team, anesthesia team, and other support staff.
• Charting System: Epic experience is required for nurses only.
• Equipment Used: Scope buddies, Medivator, Censitrac, and sterile processing equipment.
• Floating: Potential to float to other ambulatory surgery centers as needed, including AMCG Mayfair, East Mequon, and 84 South.
• Orientation: Includes facility and unit orientation, with a paired shift for the first few days with a preceptor based on experience and comfort level.
• Holiday & Time Off: No weekend work, major holidays are closed, up to 7 days of requested time off will be accommodated with approval, and extensions of 1 week for full-week requests may be necessary for contract completion.
• Scrubs: Provided by the organization.
• Parking & Amenities: Free parking is available; no cafeteria on site; staff are advised to bring lunch.
