Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring an active MA RN license and 1–3 years of OR experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Operating Room setting
  • 40-hour work week with a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • On-call required: approximately three weeknights per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and one weekend day per month (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
  • Patient population spans pre-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
  • EMR: Epic (charting system used on unit)

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required — AHA only; no other providers accepted
  • 1–3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Functions primarily in the Circulating Nurse role, serving as patient advocate for the anesthetized surgical patient
  • Responsible for safe and effective care addressing the physiologic and functional needs of surgical patients
  • Must communicate effectively with patients across a wide range of intellectual levels and physical abilities on an interdisciplinary basis
  • Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
  • Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the Boston flagship location are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
