Job Summary: Surgical Technician (OR Tech) located in Skokie, Illinois. This position involves working in a busy specialty hospital specializing in Orthopedics and Spine, with a focus on orthopedic and spine procedures including robotics-assisted surgeries. The role requires providing technical support in the operating room, adhering to scheduled shifts, and participating in call rotations.
Job Details:
Schedule: 8-hour days, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Two years of experience as a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or Surgical Technician with expertise in general, hand, foot/ankle surgeries, sports medicine, total joint, robotics (Mako, Rosa, Cori), and solid spine orthopedics including pedicle screws and ACDF procedures. Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital. BLS certification (do not need to be certified in NBSTSA).
Preferred Qualifications: Spine experience with pedicle screws and ACDF procedures.
Float: Not required.
Weekend Requirements: Call on rotation.
On-Call Requirements: On-call approximately 6-8 times in a six-week period, depending on staffing.
Holiday Requirements: Call on rotation.
Experience Requirements: 2 years of experience.
Start Date: August 23, 2026.
Orientation: 10 hours of orientation prior to start.
Credentials Due: Thursday prior to start date, including CBC, Tspot/QuantiFERON Gold tests within 90 days of start.
