Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic surgical unit. The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 7
• Number of Staff: 3
• Day Shift Staff: 1 OR RN and 2 CSTs
• Night Shift Staff: None
• Patient Ratios: 4 to 5 cases per team

Responsibilities

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following:

• Positioning patients on surgical beds and preparing them for surgery.
• Monitoring and managing equipment throughout surgical procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards in the operating room.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience as an RN Circulator.
• Ability to position patients and manage surgical preparation.

Preferred:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Open to taking trauma call as needed.

Typical Procedures

The unit performs a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:

• Total joint replacements, hip replacements, Tibia and Fibula surgeries.
• Orthopedic, plastic surgeries, and podiatry procedures.
• Robotic surgeries, including Robotic XI and DV5, as well as breast reconstruction.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work 6-7 days per month, including 1 weekend, with options for either 3-12 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts.
