Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, demonstrating competence in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation and consent forms are completed.
- Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with surgical teams to deliver optimal patient care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required, covering weekday shifts from 3 PM to 7 AM.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 4 years of OR nursing experience.
- Current SC RN license or Compact RN license required prior to start date.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Experience with a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to laparoscopic and orthopedic surgeries.
