Key Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across outpatient to critical care inpatient settings
• Function as both scrub and OR circulator, assisting with vascular, endoscopic, and open surgical cases in the Main OR and Hybrid Imaging suite
• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision and evaluation of care delivered by the team
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Operate and work alongside advanced surgical equipment including the DaVinci robotic system; document care using EPIC EMR
• Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and adhere to applicable nursing practice standards and facility service standards

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience (teaching hospital experience will be considered)
• Demonstrated scrub and OR circulator experience
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Call availability required on any scheduled day; average approximately 5 or fewer call instances per 8-week period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, including DaVinci systems
• Familiarity with vascular, endoscopic, and open surgical case types
• Highly motivated, self-starting personality with strong human relations and communication skills
