Description

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with 3+ years of experience and SC or compact RN license for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 119 staffed beds
• Operating Room unit performing general surgical procedures
• 5x8-hour day shift schedule (6:45am-3:15pm)
• Weekend coverage required, typically every 4th weekend
• On-call responsibilities per rotation, weekday call hours 3pm-7am
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed
• Uses Epic charting system
• Utilizes Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Hana Table

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required in hand prior to start
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• 3+ years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with a range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurology, urology, podiatry, and ophthalmology procedures
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
• Surgical scrubs provided by facility
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Candidates must live within 60 miles or be considered under local candidate terms
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
