Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN to independently circulate a wide range of surgical cases in a busy hospital operating room requiring an active HI RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting with 6 OR suites plus one dedicated C-section room, running 4 to 6 rooms simultaneously
• Variable shift scheduling based on department needs, operating 0645-2315 Monday through Friday
• Scheduled 40 hours per week, with possible reduction to 32 hours during holiday weeks
• Call coverage required 24/7, with staff assigned call an average of 1-2 times per week plus up to 2 weekends per month
• Must respond to call within 30 minutes
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and Provation systems
• Orientation on day shift for up to one week, at manager's discretion

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required (obtained upon acceptance)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required, including 2-3 years circulating cases in a hospital setting
• Ability to independently circulate General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology cases
• Ability to scrub cases preferred
• Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the hospital for call response

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating cases, assisting with turnover cleaning, transporting patients as needed, and scheduling cases
• Scrubs are provided
• Must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract if requested time off is approved
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment, requiring arrival in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start
