Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level III Trauma, Joint Commission-accredited community hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Details
- Position is located in the Operating Room of a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- Level III Trauma Center, Joint Commission accredited, and a certified Chest Pain Center
- Case mix includes total joints (hip, knee, and shoulder), neuro and ortho spine, craniotomies, robotics, OB/GYN, podiatry, urology, general surgery, and plastics — averaging 10 to 25 cases per day
- Facility is in the process of launching MAKO robotic-assisted knee and hip procedures
- Robotic surgery platform in use: Da Vinci Xi
- EHR system: Meditech
- Shift: Day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend coverage is required; weekend call is covered by a team consisting of an RN, CSTFA, and CST
- On-call requirements vary based on staffing levels
- Float requirement: may be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
- AHA certifications required
- Minimum 1–2 years of OR circulator experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include circulating for a high-volume OR with complex surgical cases including robotics, neuro, and orthopedic spine
- Call cases are not uncommon, including weekend XLIF spine procedures and urgent total hip cases for fracture patients
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
- Lake Havasu City offers abundant outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, as well as local dining and scenic mountain and lake views
- Conveniently located within driving distance of Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), the Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
