Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring specialized surgical experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room (Surgery Unit) of an acute care hospital
• 3-bed unit serving all patient ages
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Every other weekend or as-needed weekend hours
• Call requirements of approximately 6 shifts per month, including 1 weekend per month
• Floating as needed, with the understanding that this is a specialized OR role rather than a floor unit

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC/MAB
• 1-2 years of relevant Operating Room experience required
• Specialized surgical/OR nursing background required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and support in the Operating Room across a range of surgical procedures
• Report to the Director of Surgical Services
• Scrubs are provided; no casual attire permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
