Job Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with a variety of surgical services preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment with a strong focus on patient safety and teamwork
• Must be willing to follow facility policies, orientation requirements, and traveler compliance guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Support surgical cases in specialties including general surgery, neuro/spine, orthopedics, urology, GYN, plastics, breast, eyes, pulmonology, and robotics
• Maintain a safe surgical environment by following universal protocol, fire safety, infection control, and specimen handling standards
• Assist with intraoperative procedures, including blood and blood product administration and use of specialized surgical equipment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient case flow
• Adapt to variable case volumes and contribute to a positive, patient-centered surgical experience
• Float to like units within scope when needed based on facility needs
