Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating and scrubbing skills for a busy Main OR requiring 3+ years of experience and CNOR certification preferred.

Details

• Main OR setting supporting General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgical services
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• 16-room OR with an average daily census of 35 patients
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Uses Epic and Pyxis systems, along with 2 DaVinci Xi surgical robots
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Works 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call
• Rare floating required, within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call requirements include 7-8 calls per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call, 1-2 weekend shifts, and 2-3 weekday night calls
• Call shifts are either 7 PM-7 AM or 7 AM-7 PM

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required at time of submission
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Circulating and scrubbing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, robotics, urology, thoracic, and ENT procedures
• Experience with surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana Table

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties across a wide variety of surgical specialties and procedures
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, laser safety, and universal protocol standards
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with no RTO permitted during orientation week or after offer acceptance
• RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers previously unable to return to a facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before rebooking
