Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3 years of OR experience with circulating and Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital providing short-term acute care
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per month
• On-call requirement of 24-36 hours per month on day shift, details discussed with OR leadership
• No floating required outside of scope
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Purple scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Pending license accepted

Additional Information

• Must work 2 of the following 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
• COVID vaccine optional, though facility requires reporting of vaccination status
• Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require advance approval
• Not accepting local candidates within 100 miles of the facility
