Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with craniotomy/burr hole experience for a night shift assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting supporting Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, and General/Robotics/Trauma cases
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Friday through Sunday schedule with no call requirements
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Allscripts charting system experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
• Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred
• Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including trauma, neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, and robotics (Da Vinci Xi Surgical System) preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across neuro/spine, orthopedic/trauma, and general/robotics/trauma surgical cases
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
• Candidates must reside within 150 miles for consideration as local radius applies to RN/LVN roles
• Previous permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a travel clinician
• Clinicians must be available to complete any required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or provide a completion plan
• Hard document due date is Thursday at 2:00 PM CST prior to start, with some flexibility on a case-by-case basis
