Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), with variable start times at 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM. Weekend coverage required. On-call distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends). May need to cover one night shift within contract as needed.

  • 277-bed acute care hospital with 25 cases daily in a Level I Trauma center environment
  • Comprehensive surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN procedures
  • Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation
  • Free parking and scrubs provided for OR staff
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
  • 91-day assignment with opportunity to work with diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics

Requirements:

  • Valid California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience required due to trauma center status
  • Level I Trauma experience required; previous travel experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Ability to float between like units and affiliated facilities as needed
