Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience across various specialties and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties during operative procedures
• Shift schedule includes 4 x 10hr shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirements include 5 weekday call shifts (5 PM-6:30 AM) within a 6-week period
• Also includes 3 weekend day call shifts (24hr Saturday or Sunday shifts) within a 6-week period

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or compact) currently in hand, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience with various specialties required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Perform scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures and department admissions to the operative suite
• Adhere to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques
• Consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
• Serve as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team
• Prepare the operating room for patients and surgical procedures, including assembling equipment and ensuring supplies and implants are available
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
