Travel Registered Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150–$2,260

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or a valid compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience
• Strong orthopedic and spine surgery experience required
• Recent experience circulating orthopedic, spine, robotic, and general surgery cases
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, six-room surgical environment
• Completion of required onboarding items and laboratory requirements within 48 hours of contract signing

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety, aseptic technique, and adherence to operating room standards
• Support orthopedic, spine, general, thoracic, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, bariatric, and robotic procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, supplies, medications, and specimens for scheduled procedures
• Demonstrate competency with procedures including joint replacement, spinal fusion, laminectomy, fracture repair, thoracotomy, laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery
• Apply universal protocol and participate in surgical time-outs, specimen handling, infection prevention, and safety checks
• Safely use and monitor specialized equipment, including robotic surgical systems, cell savers, electrosurgical units, and laser equipment
• Administer and document blood products according to established protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Provide safe, compassionate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients throughout the perioperative experience
