Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring circulating experience and prior travel nursing experience at a Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• Work in the OR Float Pool at a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital with 56 inpatient/outpatient OR beds and 5 procedural rooms
• Adult patient population only; no pediatric cases
• All service lines except cardiac, transplant, trauma/neuro
• Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Schedule varies weekly based on unit needs; no block schedule available
• Late stay required, occurring up to four times during a 13-week period
• May float between OR settings but not between facility locations

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required and must be on file at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Circulating experience required; scrub experience not required

Additional Information

• Provide circulating RN support across a broad range of surgical service lines in a high-volume, Level 1 trauma OR setting
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays with limited time off approvals during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted, with a 75-mile radius rule determining local versus travel rate eligibility
