Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for a 26-week assignment requiring circulating experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Position based in the OR Float Pool at a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital
• Certified 56-bed OR unit (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms
• 12-hour day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, weekly schedule varies based on unit needs (no block schedule)
• 36 hours per week over a 26-week contract
• Late stay required, up to four occurrences within a 13-week period
• Adult patient population only; no pediatric cases
• All service lines except cardiac, transplant, trauma, and neuro
• Handles all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• May float between ORs but not between locations
• No charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required on file at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required
• Scrub experience not required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Orientation start dates available on 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16
• Only 26-week contracts will be considered for this position
• Excessive time off cannot be approved; limited RTO expected
• Must work 2 of 3 designated holidays
• Local candidates accepted, though at a lower rate outside the 75-mile radius
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies for standard travel rate eligibility
