Description

American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN with orthopedic, spine, robotics, and general surgery circulating experience for a day shift assignment requiring a NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Circulate cases in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery
• Patient ratio of 1:1-1
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of operating room experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties including general, ortho/spine, urology, thoracic, GYN, ENT, bariatrics, plastics, podiatry, and robotics preferred
• Familiarity with equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana table preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating for a broad range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Knowledge of infection control, universal protocol, specimen handling, and emergency management procedures expected
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Previous staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
