This 13-week travel nursing contract is ideal for a skilled OR nurse who can confidently scrub and circulate across a broad range of surgical specialties, including robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic, and trauma. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract, ending January 18, 2027
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours
• Call: Approximately 2–3 call shifts within each 6-week rotation; 30-minute response time required
• Weekend Coverage: Approximately 3–4 weekend shifts per 6-week rotation; weekend shifts may be days, evenings, or nights
• Additional Scheduling: Holiday coverage as needed; floating may be required
• Work Environment: On-site, tobacco-free, and fragrance-free workplace

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• At least 3 years of recent Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required; Epic experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal orientation across multiple surgical specialties
• Proficiency with the da Vinci Xi surgical system required; experience with the da Vinci DV5 system is a strong advantage
• Robotic surgery experience in general, gynecologic, thoracic, and urologic procedures
• Scrub nurse and circulating nurse experience preferred
• Comfort caring for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Ability to meet required call, weekend, holiday, and rotating schedule commitments

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience
• Scrub and circulate for a diverse range of procedures in general, robotic, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, bariatric, ENT, plastic, vascular, thoracic, and trauma surgery
• Support robotic procedures using the da Vinci Xi system and related operating room equipment
• Prepare operating rooms, verify equipment and supplies, and maintain sterile technique
• Participate in preoperative verification, surgical time-outs, specimen handling, counts, and clinical documentation
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and intraoperative emergencies
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary support teams
• Provide care for patients undergoing trauma, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, abdominal, gynecologic, urologic, and other complex procedures
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, universal protocol, medication safety, and other perioperative standards
• Float between appropriate operating room assignments and provide holiday or call coverage as scheduled
