Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring an active AK RN license and prior OR experience.

Details

• Acute hospital setting within the Operating Room department
• Level II Trauma designation with Magnet recognition
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, start times of 0645-1915 or 0900-2130
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only
• May float to like units if needed based on facility needs
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required and in hand for auto offer consideration
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio experience
• Experience with a variety of OR specialties and procedures as required by facility needs
• Scrub or circulate experience across multiple surgical specialties
• Experience with OR equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and cell saver
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Response required regarding any past employment history with a Providence facility

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Level II Trauma OR setting
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee
• May be expected to float between sister facilities within the state
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront prior to offer
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
