Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Main Operating Room position requiring TX or compact RN license, Trauma Level II experience, and more than 3 years of OR experience.
Details
- Work in the Main Operating Room of a hospital environment
- Handles a wide range of surgical specialties including robotic (Da Vinci Xi), orthopedic, trauma, general/gyn, urology, ENT, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, neuro/spine, and vascular cases
- 1:1 patient ratio during procedures
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM), Tuesday through Friday
- Call requirements include 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month
- Cerner charting experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- More than 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- LTAC experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, robotics, urology, and neuro/spine procedures
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
- Facility conducts its own mandatory onsite drug screen including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
- Candidates should avoid CBD products and other substances that could result in a positive drug screen after clearance and prior to arrival onsite
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to travel experience requirement
