Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 1 year of circulator experience and a TN or compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 0645-1515
• Night and weekend call rotation required, shared among all circulators
• On-call responsibilities 1-2 days per week on a rotating schedule
• Weekend coverage required approximately 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
• Uses Allscripts charting system
• Travelers expected to float unless otherwise specified

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of circulator experience in the Operating Room required
• PACU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required and must be clearly documented on the candidate profile, including where it was utilized
• Must pass Epic competency exam with only one attempt allowed
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Candidates requiring fit testing must be clean-shaven

Additional Information

• Perform circulator duties across a variety of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, ENT, and robotics
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System is relevant to this role
• Familiarity with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia
• Skilled in professional practices such as infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol (time out) procedures
• Clinician interview required as part of the hiring process
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• No block scheduling or special schedule accommodations will be made
