• Call Requirement: Nights and weekends, 6-12 hour shifts every six weeks
• Orientation: 8 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand
• Operating Room nursing experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Pediatric Operating Room experience preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate in the OR
• Previous clinical experience in a fast-paced surgical or perioperative setting
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
• Must use traveler’s legal first and last name for submission and credentialing
• Nursys report required with submission

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Scrub and circulate for pediatric surgical cases
• Support surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR team members during procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow OR best practices and infection control standards
• Assist with patient preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and post-procedure handoff
• Respond to call coverage as scheduled for nights and weekends
• Contribute to efficient room turnover and strong patient flow
• Complete required modules and orientation materials as assigned
