Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a travel position requiring the ability to scrub and circulate on robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgical cases.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital
• Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, orthopedic, neurologic, and general surgical procedures
• AM shift schedule, 11a-12a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week
• On-call required
• Floating required, including to a nearby sister hospital
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive pre-operative and postoperative patient assessments and education
• Support completion of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate orders for appropriateness
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, and safe patient handling techniques
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to prioritize and coordinate patient care
• Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
