Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for an Operating Room travel assignment requiring proficiency in robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgical procedures.

Details

• Operating Room setting within a hospital
• Must be able to scrub and circulate on robotics, ortho, neuro, and general surgical cases
• Must be able to scrub at least one specialty: neuro spine, total joint, or robotic
• 12-hour AM shifts, 7a-8p, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required, including to a sister hospital nearby
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Competent in patient assessment across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Skilled in perioperative documentation and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol
• Knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and equipment required

Additional Information

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care including pre-operative and post-operative assessments and patient education
• Function as part of the perioperative team, prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes
• Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) processes, including order evaluation and timely completion
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Demonstrate safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
