Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position at a pediatric hospital, requiring Level I Trauma experience and the ability to scrub and circulate.

Details

  • Work in the Operating Room unit of a pediatric hospital setting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Pediatric OR experience preferred
  • Must be able to both scrub and circulate
  • On-call requirements include nights and weekends, 6-12 hour shifts approximately every six weeks

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required in hand
  • Current Nursys report required (pulled within the last 2 weeks)
  • Level I Trauma experience required
  • Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be accepted
  • Certifications and/or licenses required per state or national standards

Additional Information

  • Requested time off (RTO) limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO permitted during the first or last week of the contract
  • Any scheduling or block schedule requests must be submitted with the initial application and discussed during the interview process
  • Former permanent staff at University of Chicago Medicine locations (including PRN or Ingalls) must have separated from employment for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Non-billable training modules average 8 hours, with some specialties requiring 15-20 hours, completed remotely or during orientation and annually
