Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 14-week travel assignment requiring 3 years of recent OR experience across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Rotating call required: weekday call 6:30 PM-7:00 AM and weekend call Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
• 40-minute response time required for call
• Rotating call schedule with 2-3 weekday calls during first 6-week period, followed by a weekend call in the next 6-week period
• Staff expected to work across multiple OR specialty areas including Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY State or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• 3 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• Experience in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS specialties required
• Level 1 trauma experience desired
• No active license hits accepted for consideration
• At least 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must complete specialty-specific modules during orientation and annually
• Returning permanent staff must be separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles are not accepted for this position
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; requests submitted after offer will not be approved
