Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a CO or compact RN license for a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring 3+ years of OR experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center with a 41-OR unit
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 0645, with occasional floats to 0845 or 1045 starts
• Occasional floating to night shifts, no more than 3 shifts per contract
• Weekend coverage required as per unit needs
• On-call requirements as needed, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Float to other UCHealth OR units within scope as needed
• Case types include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgeries
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• Experience with a range of surgical procedures including gynecologic, plastics, neuro, general, urology, and ENT cases

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of complex surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Craniotomy circulating experience required
• Completion of facility-specific modules required within the first week of assignment
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates within the last two years will not be considered
• Travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before rebooking
• Maximum of 10 RTO days per contract, with blackout periods restricting RTO during certain weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local bill rate
