Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital requiring Level 1 or 2 trauma and neuro circulating experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma Center operating room with 25 beds
• Handles 60-70 cases with a heavy focus on Ortho, Spine, and Neuro service lines, plus other service lines
• Unit does not see Cardiac or Transplant cases
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 1845-0615
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend work required with flexibility expected
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Charting is done in Epic

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 3-4 years preferred
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center circulating experience required
• Neuro surgical experience required
• Circulating skills required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ortho/spine surgical experience preferred

Additional Information

• Facility provides scrubs
• Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital with 500 staffed beds
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• RTO limited to no more than 6 days, with minimal RTO accommodated and none during the first two weeks of assignment
• Facility highly prefers the traveler to work Christmas, and allows only 1 of 3 major holidays off plus 3 additional non-blocked RTO days outside specified blackout periods
• Prior UW/Harborview staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
