• Patient Ratio: 1:1 on days

• Schedule Notes: 36 or 40 hours per week; no call, with late days required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing or operating room nursing
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Comfortable working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to support a busy surgical caseload in a same day surgery environment
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled circulating nurse and scrub nurse support in the operating room
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures in a high-acuity same day surgery setting
• Maintain patient safety through universal protocol, infection control, and sterile technique
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Prepare and manage surgical equipment, supplies, and procedural workflow
• Document care accurately in Epic and support smooth patient transitions
• Contribute to efficient room turnover and a well-coordinated daily surgical schedule
