Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with general surgery and a broad range of OR procedures
• Community hospital experience required
• Strong knowledge of surgical safety, sterile technique, and perioperative best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical setting

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled circulating nurse support in the Operating Room
• Prepare patients and maintain a safe, efficient surgical environment
• Support a variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, universal protocol, and patient safety standards
• Assist with surgical counts, specimen handling, documentation, and room turnover
• Participate in on-call coverage as assigned
• Contribute to a positive team culture and excellent patient outcomes
