Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with orthopedic and spine surgery expertise for a day-shift travel assignment requiring a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room setting specializing in orthopedic surgery, including total joints, hand, foot, ankle, and spine procedures
• Neuro Spine OR cases ranging from simple to complex
• Patient mix of 20-25% inpatient, 75-80% outpatient, and 5% pediatric
• Utilizes MAKO Robot Technology for total joint procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Call requirement of approximately 3 shifts per 6 weeks
• Floating required to Swedish MAIN Surgery and Swedish South Tower Surgery
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Experience with orthopedic procedures including ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, open and closed fracture reductions, and laminectomy/discectomy
• Experience with spinal fusion and total joint replacement procedures
• Experience in general OR, neurology, minimally invasive surgery (MIS), XLIF, and robotics including the Mako Surgical System
• Epic charting experience required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform orthopedic and spine surgical procedures including total joints, hand, foot, ankle, and neuro spine cases
• Excludes robotics, general, urology, gyn, bariatrics, minor vascular, plastics, and thoracic cases
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
